So What?

Have you found yourself doing something that you knew wasn't really 'right' or even downright wrong but you loved it so much that you damn all consequences and just live in the moment? Or when you really feel guilty about doing something but you refuse to even ask for forgiveness about it because you know even before you say Amen that you will do the exact same thing again as soon as you get the opportunity to? I don't know about you but I have. There are some things that honestly I have attempted 'negotiating' with God to give me a pass on, while I gather strength to overcome lol.
You may pass your own judgment on this and say 'then you are not really sorry or you don't want to let go enough'. Ok, Most Strongest, when I grow up I want to be like you and be able to easily let go of things that i need to without even a little struggle.
But you see the truth is that it is not entirely surprising that people have a certain response to situations that occur. Example, a person would be considered downright insane if they were to stand at a funeral grounds laughing their hearts off, or possibly suffering from witchcraft. People are expected to act sober during such events. Or imagine a bride weeping while walking down the aisle? Like not little tears of joy but straight wailing! That would be a real scene to behold.
There are various laws that operate in this universe. Like gravity, sowing and harvesting and if you are a Christian, giving and receiving.
I have come to believe that, unfortunately, we sometimes just react to certain things because it is considered the 'right' way to behave. People get into all sorts of situations not because they even want to but because 'erm it is the right thing to do'.
But you see, every single thing shall pass. You are all you will ever have. Do you know something, there is only one person you can never ever get away from and guess who that is? You! Every single place you go to, guess who is also there? Yourself. It's about time you treat yourself much better and loved yourself so much more.
When people mistreat you or say some really bad things to you, expecting or knowing that it is going to break you, submit it to God, cry over it but remember to tell yourself you have been with yourself way before any one ever came into your life and you would not allow people to determine how you live the rest of your life, based on how they treat you.
Think about it, there are some things that happened previously that you thought was the worst thing that could ever  happen to you, and then later something even more 'worse' happens and you realize the other thing wasn't even that deep. But guess what you lived and you will live. People are ready to see how you respond to some of the things that are going on , why not surprise them by sending a message that screams of 'yes, you really did me dirty by your actions but so what? I still have the me i had before you, and I will be fine!'
A good example is when Joseph basically told his brothers 'So what? You treated me badly so you expect same? No'.
And when you are going through a really tough guilty phase, where the devil is whispering how sure he is God won't forgive you, tell him to mind his business while you focus on the business between you and your father.
I pray we come out of even the most fiercest battles that were meant to kill us looking even better so much so that the enemy would be so confused.

A god’s election.

All the houses that led to the Kansie shrine had no aluminum roofing. The first thing you noticed at the premises were the skull of donkeys in the rocks that housed the shrine. The skulls were kept buried because whenever it was left in the sun, the entire village suffered migraines. Everyone who entered the shrine had to be topless. No one ever returned from Kansie still bearing whatever issue had caused them to enter into it in the first place. This was where recognized fetish priests sought fortification from; and where they directed important people to seek help when they knew they could not handle the situation they brought with them. One had to be parsimonious and ready to do as was directed, because when the gods decided on what sacrifice they wanted, no appeal was heard. The national election was in two weeks and Fynn Aggrey was contesting. This was his second time running and although six others had picked up nomination forms, it was a clear contest between Fynn and Nii A

I want to be like you..,sure?

Just before he entered University of Ghana he was involved in an accident so had to move around with the aid of crutches. During that time, there was intermittent supply of water, meaning he needed to go fetch some for use. His cousin who had been helping him throughout his registration had left after he got his room and bed.  Now there he was, standing in front of the hall, with a bucket by his side, metals in his legs, P.O.P around them and holding his crutches; feeling extremely depressed wondering how he was supposed to function in school without any help; asking himself if he should have just stayed home. But right there, he saw another student walking towards the hall, a visually impaired student, tapping the ground with his cain as he made his way slowly into the hall. He said that was the last time he allowed himself to ever get depressed about whatever situation he found himself in, because as bad as he felt his present situation was, he had so many other things going on for

A FAMILY AFFAIR

KenaKrom was a small fishing village, which lacked any vibrant form of modern entertainment, the old folks were left to telling stories to their grandchildren at sunset to keep them entertained. The young adults gathered in the town square to listen to the men play drums while the females danced. The highlight of the people’s year was when they celebrated their festival. They watched as the chief priest performed various strange acts while the best drummers played to urge him on. After the festival he chose the most handsome looking young boy in the village to be taught by him and train him as a future priest. This year, rather surprisingly the gods had chosen who the villagers agreed was the most unintelligent child. Kenakrom’s richest family was the Nyarko-Ansah family. The Nyarko-Ansah family was not only the richest but the largest, and more than half of the people of this small village traced their lineage to this family’s ancestry. The village kingmakers came from that family,
