I want to be like you..,sure?

Just before he entered University of Ghana he was involved in an accident so had to move around with the aid of crutches. During that time, there was intermittent supply of water, meaning he needed to go fetch some for use. His cousin who had been helping him throughout his registration had left after he got his room and bed.  Now there he was, standing in front of the hall, with a bucket by his side, metals in his legs, P.O.P around them and holding his crutches; feeling extremely depressed wondering how he was supposed to function in school without any help; asking himself if he should have just stayed home.
But right there, he saw another student walking towards the hall, a visually impaired student, tapping the ground with his cain as he made his way slowly into the hall. He said that was the last time he allowed himself to ever get depressed about whatever situation he found himself in, because as bad as he felt his present situation was, he had so many other things going on for him. He could see, he could move ( albeit slowly), he could hear and he could talk. God had not been unfair to him as he had allowed himself to think.
He shared this story with me because we are not always in a good mood. We are not always looking at life through glasses of optimism, feeling upbeat about the future and its possibilities.
Some days we allow the weight of life to get to us, and feel overwhelmed by its seemingly heavy burden. Feeling like nothing good can ever happen. Feeling like we will never get a lucky break; career wise, relationships, academically; maybe even politically, or other areas that affects us as humans.
There are times when we may not come across a person whose situation allows us to smile and say 'Ei I am better o', but rather we look at them, force a smile and ask our God, 'So when will my turn come?'
It reminds me of a statement I always smile when i see people use 'God  I've seen what you are doing for others o'.
Like perfect pictures that makes you start doing mathematics you never thought you were capable of; 'I am at this age and I don't have this and that so if I don't get this in this year, how old would i be if i am to get it in that year'.

Look, I don't know about you but I have been doing a lot of additions in my mind for a while now, asking God when He is going to have mercy and just balance one or two things for me because some of the figures are looking someway lol.

But are you really sure you want to be like that person whose life seems so perfect? As it is said, even if you get grass that looks as green as it does on the other side,  YOU WILL STILL HAVE TO WATER IT. I am going to tell you right now what God will probably not send an Angel to tell you; that person whose life you so want is most likely not as perfect as you think: and even if it is you need to work hard to maintain it.

Life can be hard, but God will always be true. Let us look on to Him and cast our cares upon Him, trusting Him to be able to turn things around for our good. Trust that as long as you are alive, nothing is too hard for God and like all the people He eventually touched He will get to you and one day you will find people looking at you and asking God 'God so me too whatsup?'.
Admire people and thank God for what they have and pray for yours to come. Don't look at others and be so 'upset' that you are not at their level, because you may actually never want to be them if you got close enough you know. As long as God lives, Nothing spoil.
Love you loads.

A god’s election.

All the houses that led to the Kansie shrine had no aluminum roofing. The first thing you noticed at the premises were the skull of donkeys in the rocks that housed the shrine. The skulls were kept buried because whenever it was left in the sun, the entire village suffered migraines. Everyone who entered the shrine had to be topless. No one ever returned from Kansie still bearing whatever issue had caused them to enter into it in the first place. This was where recognized fetish priests sought fortification from; and where they directed important people to seek help when they knew they could not handle the situation they brought with them. One had to be parsimonious and ready to do as was directed, because when the gods decided on what sacrifice they wanted, no appeal was heard. The national election was in two weeks and Fynn Aggrey was contesting. This was his second time running and although six others had picked up nomination forms, it was a clear contest between Fynn and Nii A

A FAMILY AFFAIR

KenaKrom was a small fishing village, which lacked any vibrant form of modern entertainment, the old folks were left to telling stories to their grandchildren at sunset to keep them entertained. The young adults gathered in the town square to listen to the men play drums while the females danced. The highlight of the people’s year was when they celebrated their festival. They watched as the chief priest performed various strange acts while the best drummers played to urge him on. After the festival he chose the most handsome looking young boy in the village to be taught by him and train him as a future priest. This year, rather surprisingly the gods had chosen who the villagers agreed was the most unintelligent child. Kenakrom’s richest family was the Nyarko-Ansah family. The Nyarko-Ansah family was not only the richest but the largest, and more than half of the people of this small village traced their lineage to this family’s ancestry. The village kingmakers came from that family,
