Beyond Feelings

Feelings? They can be nice sometimes. Like when you have deep feelings (of love) for someone and they love you right back. But they can be that thing that stays right with you when you want nothing to do with it. Like when you love someone who doesn't even know you exist. Or you still love someone you were with who is totally over you, and doesn't even remember the first alphabet of your name. Most of us, as humans have feelings. It is a part of us: whether we want them or not. However, we cannot make major life decisions simply based on feelings. We cannot accept to marry someone simply because whilst proposing they looked deep into our eyes and our hearts started beating faster than we ever thought possible. You can't take a knife and go stab someone simply because the way they talk or walk or dance annoys the heck out of you. Feelings can be fickle. Two personal experiences, how I handled them and their results: I have a nice looking phone. I mean most people see it and their first comment is 'Ei your phone is nice. How much did you buy it' yada yada. The problem is that most times people ring me and are told the phone is off: whereas I never turn my phone off. I have gone to the network providers office and even had a sim replacement but problem still persists. Back to why I wrote this post. I realized I keep talking about this. I keep passing comments about how useless my phone is, cursing my network providers and then forgetting about it for a while until someone tells me they were trying to reach me, and then cycle begins. Yet that hasn't changed my situation. Let me juxtapose it to another situation and how I handled it. I was expecting an important phone call from someone. One that i was very excited about. I told two very good friends of mine about this expected call because they were related to the situ
