Jezebel's Entrance

        Jezebel's Entrance
Once upon a time Elijah, the prophet of God,who performed the most powerful miracles in his generation fell into deep depression. I mean this man fascinates me. He was fed by ravens; caused flour and oil never to run dry, predicted the end of three years of drought;and, get this, sent fire from Heaven to consume sacrifice soaked in water.
I mean try even lightning charcoal that's a bit wet.
Trend setting, mind blowing miracles. There was nothing he asked that he didn't receive an answer to: so you ask yourself what could cause this man that a whole King,in charge of the nations weaponry describe as a troubler to become miserable.
Jezebel.
No,that's not the name of the nations regiment. Nor the name of a spirit. Neither was it the name of a terrible disease. Jezebel was the name of the kings wife. Human, woman, flesh.
After performing all these explosive miracles, even running faster than the chariots of the president of Israel, a message from Jezebel put Elijah into suicide mode.
What is it that makes you loose all faith and yearn to give up?
Jezebel could be that grade that threatens to prevent you from graduating.
That medical report that makes you believe death would have been a better option.
That financial situation that puts you into bankruptcy and brings an end to all dreams of prosperity.
That young man with nice teeth who is about to steal your girlfriend you were hoping to marry from you.
Jezebel. That thing that makes you forget all that the Lord has previously done and makes you so discouraged that you lose all your faith.  What do you do when Jezebel appears?
One of the most frequently used words by God is to REMEMBER. Remember God remains God.The same God that did that for you and another is more than able to do bigger and better for you.
FOCUS on Christ alone. Set your mind on His might.
Believe that He is more than able to do much more than you could ever think. Know that He who began, shall perfect it.Cast all your cares on Him Go into the bible and look for all of God's promises to you and pray them.
Put all your hope in Him,and never lose it.

A god’s election.

All the houses that led to the Kansie shrine had no aluminum roofing. The first thing you noticed at the premises were the skull of donkeys in the rocks that housed the shrine. The skulls were kept buried because whenever it was left in the sun, the entire village suffered migraines. Everyone who entered the shrine had to be topless. No one ever returned from Kansie still bearing whatever issue had caused them to enter into it in the first place. This was where recognized fetish priests sought fortification from; and where they directed important people to seek help when they knew they could not handle the situation they brought with them. One had to be parsimonious and ready to do as was directed, because when the gods decided on what sacrifice they wanted, no appeal was heard. The national election was in two weeks and Fynn Aggrey was contesting. This was his second time running and although six others had picked up nomination forms, it was a clear contest between Fynn and Nii A...

I want to be like you..,sure?

Just before he entered University of Ghana he was involved in an accident so had to move around with the aid of crutches. During that time, there was intermittent supply of water, meaning he needed to go fetch some for use. His cousin who had been helping him throughout his registration had left after he got his room and bed.  Now there he was, standing in front of the hall, with a bucket by his side, metals in his legs, P.O.P around them and holding his crutches; feeling extremely depressed wondering how he was supposed to function in school without any help; asking himself if he should have just stayed home. But right there, he saw another student walking towards the hall, a visually impaired student, tapping the ground with his cain as he made his way slowly into the hall. He said that was the last time he allowed himself to ever get depressed about whatever situation he found himself in, because as bad as he felt his present situation was, he had so many other things going on ...

So What?

Have you found yourself doing something that you knew wasn't really 'right' or even downright wrong but you loved it so much that you damn all consequences and just live in the moment? Or when you really feel guilty about doing something but you refuse to even ask for forgiveness about it because you know even before you say Amen that you will do the exact same thing again as soon as you get the opportunity to? I don't know about you but I have. There are some things that honestly I have attempted 'negotiating' with God to give me a pass on, while I gather strength to overcome lol. You may pass your own judgment on this and say 'then you are not really sorry or you don't want to let go enough'. Ok, Most Strongest, when I grow up I want to be like you and be able to easily let go of things that i need to without even a little struggle. But you see the truth is that it is not entirely surprising that people have a certain response to situations that ...
