Cum Multum Datum

Having more is not a guarantee that you would do much better.Lots of people have convinced themselves that the reason they are at a certain place or position in life is because of the size of what they possess.
Some women believe their boyfriend would not have left them if they had much bigger breasts, wider hips, were much better dancers, were less vocal etc. Some men believe they would have won that woman if they had more money,a bigger car, more muscles..
The point is you can convince yourself that you are not better suited because your toes are more crooked than the one who took your boyfriend but later you would realise the person simply left because he was an idiot.
Granted,to whom much is given, much more is expected, but your mistake would be to calculate your harvest by measuring it to someone else's seed.
You are qualified enough, pretty enough, intelligent enough to succeed. You just have to begin.
In this Newyear, cast off every weight that pulls you back as the bible says, and determine that you are well able;To start that business, school, project, relationship.
And you are strong enough to live after you end that useless relationship that has only made you miserable, and know that by Gods grace you can have a much better result than the one you think has more, and even straighter toes.

A god’s election.

All the houses that led to the Kansie shrine had no aluminum roofing. The first thing you noticed at the premises were the skull of donkeys in the rocks that housed the shrine. The skulls were kept buried because whenever it was left in the sun, the entire village suffered migraines. Everyone who entered the shrine had to be topless. No one ever returned from Kansie still bearing whatever issue had caused them to enter into it in the first place. This was where recognized fetish priests sought fortification from; and where they directed important people to seek help when they knew they could not handle the situation they brought with them. One had to be parsimonious and ready to do as was directed, because when the gods decided on what sacrifice they wanted, no appeal was heard. The national election was in two weeks and Fynn Aggrey was contesting. This was his second time running and although six others had picked up nomination forms, it was a clear contest between Fynn and Nii A...

I want to be like you..,sure?

Just before he entered University of Ghana he was involved in an accident so had to move around with the aid of crutches. During that time, there was intermittent supply of water, meaning he needed to go fetch some for use. His cousin who had been helping him throughout his registration had left after he got his room and bed.  Now there he was, standing in front of the hall, with a bucket by his side, metals in his legs, P.O.P around them and holding his crutches; feeling extremely depressed wondering how he was supposed to function in school without any help; asking himself if he should have just stayed home. But right there, he saw another student walking towards the hall, a visually impaired student, tapping the ground with his cain as he made his way slowly into the hall. He said that was the last time he allowed himself to ever get depressed about whatever situation he found himself in, because as bad as he felt his present situation was, he had so many other things going on ...

UNToLD

When he brought her home the first time, everyone kept slapping him on the back, telling him how much of a lucky man he was to have found this beauty. All my uncles kept telling him he had proven that the family indeed had impeccable taste. It was like by brother’s choice of wife, all the men had suddenly become men of great accomplishment. It couldn’t be denied how stunning she was: flawless complexion, perfectly structured teeth, quick smile, well-shaped figure, she seemed to have it all and one found himself automatically comparing her to any woman who stood beside her. Only the women in my family seemed to have a problem with her. Mother stood by him, a frown on her face, whispering into his ears. She said there was something about her that she just didn’t like. She could however not place her hand on that ‘something’. Brother just kept laughing and telling her she was just being overly protective and that his wife was the sweetest woman ever. Dad insisted mother was just being ...
